Our team is expanding and we are looking for a new team member.
The Risk Modeller will join the Modelling and Data Science Unit within Luminor Risk Division, placed in Credit Risk Modelling Team which is responsible for the overall lifecycle of the IRB approach based Credit Risk Models

Responsibilities:
Develop and improve IRB approach based Credit Risk Models (PD, LGD, CCF);
Lead specific pieces of the modelling effort: review data & attributes, assess modelling options, defend model choices with stakeholders;
Ensure successful implementation of new models and analytical initiatives;
Perform selected tasks regarding model monitoring and maintenance;
Identifying promising data sources and converting data into credit insights;
Communication of detailed technical information in a simple and clear manner;
Knowledge transfer and junior modellers coaching;
Contribute to a good working environment by taking on a positive and constructive approach in cooperation with colleagues and giving honest feedback ensuring the drive of high performance in the team
Skills and Experience:
To succeed in this role, you’ll need at least 3 years of experience in working in a bank’s Credit Risk modelling function, ideally in an ECB regulated bank. Relevant experience working with risk scorecards & other predictive modelling areas is also considered.
We look forward for a relevant background and good understanding in, Credit Risk knowledge, Credit Risk regulation, modelling choices and statistical techniques.
You will need a working knowledge of Python and/or R. Also, you will need database related knowledge such as SQL. Knowledge of SAS and GitLab is considered a plus
You will also demonstrate:
Knowledge of data exploration, data mining, and data transformation as well as statistical estimation algorithms and model design;
Knowledge of a variety of modelling techniques such as multivariate regressions and models with categorical response variables;
Good knowledge of Financial Risk regulation (Basel, EBA, IFRS9);
Demonstrated strengths in problem solving, planning, organizing and initiative;
Ability to function in deadline intensive environment, managing multiple responsibilities while effectively focusing on priority issues;
Excellent analytical, communication, presentation, organizational and problem-solving skills;
Highly self-motivated, results oriented and capable of independent and critical thinking and problem solving;
Previous experience on agile working environment would be considered a plus;
Strong MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, and Outlook) skills;
Bachelor’s degree level or equivalent in a STEM or other numerate discipline with experience in data driven analysis and statistical or mathematical modelling;
Fluent English language skills.
