Our team is expanding and we are looking for a new team member.

The IFRS9 Risk Modeller will join the Modelling and Data Science team within Luminor Risk Division which is responsible for the overall lifecycle of the IRB and STD credit risk, IFRS9 & Pillar 3 models and is accountable for the lifecycle of the AML modelling. This unit is also in charge of the use of Advanced Risk Analytics from a different range of activities from model development to the definition of use cases. In addition, this unit comprises the Regulatory Observatory which is the co-creator of model standards and key contact point with Supervisors (ECB, local CB).

Responsibilities:

  • Develop (e.g., review and clean data, assess modelling options based on data, implement statistical models in line with regulations) components of credit risk models
  • Lead specific pieces of the modelling effort and perform selected tasks regarding monitoring and maintenance
  • Transfer knowledge to Junior Modellers
  • Contribute to a good working environment by taking on a positive and constructive approach in cooperation with colleagues and giving honest feedback ensuring the drive of high performance in the unit

Skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree level or equivalent in a STEM or other numerate discipline with experience in data driven analysis and statistical or mathematical modelling
  • At least 2 years of experience working in a bank’s credit risk modelling function, ideally in an ECB regulated bank 
  • Good knowledge of IFRS9 and IRB credit risk modelling regulations and requirements 
  • Strong proficiency in Python and/or R, as well as database related knowledge such as SQL (knowledge of SAS is considered a plus)
  • Excellent analytical, communication, presentation, organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Strong MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, and Outlook) skills Fluent English language skills (written and verbal)
