Discover Your Path with Luminor ILLUMINATE 2026!
Yes, you can. At Luminor, we believe that growth happens when curiosity meets responsibility. That’s why we’re looking for interns who are ready to step into a real, fast-moving work environment and make a genuine contribution - while discovering whether banking is the place they want to grow.
Luminor is building the next generation of banking experience in the Baltics. As the leading independent bank in the region, we combine the stability of a major financial institution with the mindset of a tech-driven, agile organization. Our culture is shaped by curiosity, focus, and collaboration - and by people who take ownership of what they do.
What to expect from the internship
ILLUMINATE is a 10 week paid summer internship program designed for those who learn best by doing. From day one, you’ll work on real tasks, real projects, and real challenges alongside experienced professionals. This is not a “shadowing” internship - you’ll be trusted with responsibility and encouraged to contribute your ideas.
You’ll be part of an international, Pan‑Baltic intern community, collaborating across teams and learning how modern banking works from the inside. The pace can be fast, priorities can shift, and not all answers are predefined, which is exactly where the learning happens.
Who thrives at Luminor
This internship is a great fit if you:
Enjoy being hands-on and don't shy away from real responsibility
Take initiative and are comfortable exploring topics you haven't worked with before
Can work independently, manage your time, and ask thoughtful questions when needed
Feel energized by an agile environment where things evolve quickly
Want honest exposure to what working in a bank today truly looks like
If you're looking for a highly structured environment where every step is predefined, this may not be the right match - and that's okay. We believe internships work best when expectations are clear on both sides.
Why join
Your work will matter. Your learning will be real. And your summer will be spent on building skills, confidence, and insight that go far beyond your studies.
Take a look below and find the path that fits you best:
Performance Intelligence Intern
In this role you will be supporting the Technology division with performance tracking and reporting activities. You will assist in developing and maintaining performance metrics, dashboards, and analyses used for management reporting, ensuring data quality and consistency. You will help collect and document business requirements, contribute to KPI and OKR tracking, and support the preparation of insights related to IT performance and value delivery. You may also assist with process documentation, coordination across teams, and identifying opportunities for improvement in collaboration with stakeholders.
You will gain practical experience in performance intelligence within a large organization, while developing your analytical thinking, data handling, and reporting skills. This internship will give you insight into how performance is measured, how strategic objectives are translated into measurable outcomes, and how data supports decision-making in a regulated environment.
We expect you to have an interest in data analysis, reporting, or business performance management, along with good analytical and organizational skills. Curiosity, willingness to learn, and ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders are important. Interest in data visualization and tools like Power BI is an advantage. Fluent English is required. Preferred education in IT, Business Management, Risk Management or related.
ESG Data Product Owner Intern
As an ESG Data Product Owner Intern, you will support sustainability reporting initiatives by working alongside the Data Product Owner within the BI & Analytics / Business Analysis Unit of the Sustainability Department. Your role will focus on ensuring effective coordination between delivery teams and stakeholders, while helping translate ESG reporting needs into structured, actionable work.
You will take part in Agile ways of working, assisting with SAFe-based ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand-ups, sprint reviews, and backlog refinement. You will help organize meetings, document discussions and decisions, track action items, and support smooth information flow across involved parties. This will give you practical exposure to how data products are planned, prioritized, and delivered in a large organization.
Through the internship, you will develop an understanding of ESG data, sustainability metrics, regulatory compliance principles, and reporting timelines. You will support monitoring of delivery progress, risks, and dependencies, escalating issues when necessary and contributing to continuous improvement in team collaboration and ways of working.
This role provides valuable learning opportunities for students interested in sustainability, data-driven decision-making, and product ownership. You will build foundational skills in Agile delivery, stakeholder management, and ESG reporting, while gaining insight into how sustainability objectives are supported by reliable data and well-managed delivery processes.
GDPR / Privacy Intern
As a GDPR / Privacy Intern, you will support the Privacy Lead in managing privacy and data protection activities, gaining practical experience in the application of GDPR within an organisation. You will be involved in everyday privacy governance tasks, helping translate regulatory requirements into clear documentation, processes, and controls.
Your responsibilities will include assisting with GDPR documentation and records, supporting privacy risk assessments and follow-up activities, and helping track and manage data subject requests. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders on privacy-related topics and contribute to compliance monitoring and reporting efforts, building an understanding of how cross-functional cooperation supports effective data protection.
Throughout the internship, you will develop a solid understanding of GDPR principles, privacy governance, and risk management in practice. You will gain exposure to confidential data handling, structured compliance work, and real regulatory scenarios. This role is ideal for students with an interest in privacy, data protection, or compliance who are looking to build a strong professional foundation and practical experience in a key regulatory area.
Data Transformation Intern (BCBS 239 / RDARR)
As a Data Transformation Intern, you will support the Bank’s Data Transformation Programme within the Data Management Department, focusing on Risk Data Aggregation and Risk Reporting (RDARR) topics aligned with BCBS 239 principles. You will gain practical exposure to how risk‑data regulations are implemented in a large, regulated financial institution.
You will work alongside the programme manager and data management teams to support remediation activities across multiple streams, including data governance, data quality, data architecture, timeliness, and reporting practices. Your responsibilities will include assisting with progress tracking, documentation support for reports, metrics, and models, and helping ensure that inputs and evidence are well structured and consistently maintained.
Through your involvement in day‑to‑day programme activities, you will learn how banks manage complex remediation initiatives, coordinate across multiple stakeholders, and translate regulatory expectations into concrete controls, processes, and documentation. You will develop strong skills in structured thinking, documentation, and stakeholder communication, while gaining insight into the critical role of data in risk management and regulatory reporting.
