Being part of Pan-Baltic Legal team, your main role will be to provide high quality and timely legal support and advice to Luminor Asset Management and Pensions Companies in the areas supported by the Legal function such as pension products, corporate governance, ESG, investment management, outsourcing. You will be ensuring legal advice and support aligned with applicable EU and Latvian national legal requirements, internal policies, procedures as well as perform any additional ad-hoc assignments requested by your manager.
What You Will Do:
- Provide high quality and timely legal support to Luminor Asset Management and Pensions Companies and internal stakeholders
- Draft and review legal opinions, agreements and other legal documentation, internal documentation and customer documentation in a timely manner and with high quality
- Provide legal support to product development (including but not limited to legal review of internal procedures and instructions, development of customer documentation, agreement templates, development of service terms)
- Provide legal support in investment management and ESG area, including, but not limited to SFDR - related matters, fund rules and prospectuses
- Provide legal support with corporate governance (e.g., internal regulations in the area, appointments of Management Board, Supervisory Council members etc.)
- Provide input to and coordinate pan-Baltic legal projects in the areas supported by Legal function
- Provide legal support in other local and pan-Baltic projects
- Proactively plan, deliver and follow-up of personal tasks timely and according to the set quality standards, budget and Luminor values
What We Expect:
- Professional, motivated and energetic attitude with a strong work ethic displayed through accountability and result ownership
- Excellent communication skills with a high sense of Initiative and proactivity,
- High capabilities of negotiation, drafting, and presentation skills
- Keen analytical mindset with a knack for problem solving
- Sufficiently proven self-managing skills (time management, task management, stakeholder management etc.)
- Master's degree in Law is mandatory
- Previous experience in financial services industry (banking and/or asset management and pensions) will be considered as an advantage
- Previous experience with legal matters related to ESG (e.g., SFDR) will be considered as an advantage
- Familiarity with regulatory environment (regulation, supervision) in financial services industry (banking and/or asset management and pensions) in at least one Baltic country will be considered as an advantage
- Fluent English and Latvian is required in spoken and written communication due to working on Pan-Baltic level
