What You Will Do:
- Administer and maintain Unix/Linux systems, with a particular focus on HP-UX and Solaris environments.
- Configure and manage clusters, ensuring high availability and optimal performance.
- Perform disk systems configuration, including setting up and managing storage arrays and disks.
- Conduct performance tuning and capacity management to ensure systems operate efficiently.
- Manage virtualization environments on SPARC and HP-UX platforms, including configuration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning
- Utilize automation and configuration management tools to streamline operations and improve system reliability.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
- Collaborate with other teams to define and implement improvements and ensure compliance with regulatory policies and procedures.
What We Expect:
- Proven experience in Unix/Linux system administration, with a strong focus on HP-UX or Solaris administration tasks.
- Expertise in managing and configuring clusters, including multi-node cluster configurations.
- Proficiency in disk systems configuration, performance tuning, and capacity management.
- Experience with virtualisation on SPARC, HP-UX platforms – e.g., Oracle Logical Domains (LDoms)/Oracle VM Server for SPARC, HP Integrity Virtual Machines (HPVM)
- Experience with monitoring tools – such as Zabbix, New Relic and basic networking layer knowledge – TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, routing principles.
- Security awareness – understanding of security hardening practices for Unix systems.
- Familiarity with automation and configuration management tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and coordinate with internal stakeholders.
- Fluent English is required in spoken and written communication due to working on the Pan-Baltic level
