System Analyst (AFC area)

System Analyst for Anti Financial Crime team is responsible for ensuring the operational quality and support of area related applications. The role focuses on proactive monitoring, incident resolution, and maintaining service continuity of related applications, including development of solutions for automated observability and maintenance.
What You Will Do:
- Ensure high availability and stability of area related applications
- Investigate and resolve incidents and service requests within defined SLOs. Ensure proper incident escalations to senior engineers or vendors if needed
- Monitor application health, logs, and interfaces to detect and prevent service disruptions proactively. Perform configuration tasks, application deployments, and scheduled maintenance
- Support incident post-mortems, root cause analysis, and preventive action implementation. Document troubleshooting steps, known issues, and recovery procedures
- Collaborate closely with the service desk, DevOps, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and engineering teams
- Participate in testing and rollouts for patches, upgrades, and new feature releases
- You will have the opportunity to work with and contribute to Java codebases under the guidance of Senior Software Engineers and Tech leads. You will participate in code reviews and learn best practices in software development. Additionally, you will assist in automating operational tasks and improving deployment pipelines
- Ensure adherence to compliance, data privacy, and security standards required in the banking sector
- The position includes on-call responsibilities, scheduled on a rotating basis across both weekdays and weekends
What We Expect:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- At least 5 years of experience in IT application support or software engineering, preferably in the financial services sector
- Skills in Java and Spring Boot are preferred, along with proficiency in tools like Jenkins and Git
- Knowledge of financial services architecture and integrations (e.g., REST/SOAP APIs, message queues)
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., NewRelic, Grafana, ELK)
- Preferably, practical knowledge on cloud-based application management in AWS
- Working knowledge of databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server) and scripting (e.g., Bash, PowerShell) would be considered an advantage
- Familiarity with ITIL processes, especially incident, problem, and change management
- Strong analytical skills, service mindset, and ability to work in high-pressure environments
- Availability for on-call rotations and incident support outside business hours
- Fluent English is required in spoken and written communication due to working on the Pan-Baltic level
