We seek Risk and Finance Reporting Technical Lead with expertise in both current (ETL, EDW, BI) and future data technologies ( Data Mesh, Data as Product etc) as well as other risk and finance related applications. In this strategic role, you will be responsible for designing and leading the development of current risk reporting domain solutions as well as designing the future solutions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to establish best practices, build data products, and enable data democratization across the organization.
You will play a critical role in defining the roadmap for our data infrastructure, ensuring data availability, scalability, and security while enabling data engineering, science, analytics, and business teams to leverage data effectively. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, leadership and banking experience, and a deep understanding of modern data and risk related technologies and best practices.
How You Will Make an Impact:
Lead the Risk and Finance Reporting Tech Strategy: Develop and execute the vision and strategy for our risk and finance reporting solutions, aligning with the bank’s goals and business objectives
Design and Implement Data Mesh Framework: Lead the adoption and implementation of Data Mesh principles, ensuring that data is treated as a product and managed across decentralized domains
Data as a Product: Work with data product owners to define, build, and maintain data products that are reliable, accessible, and usable across various business units
Architecture & Design: Oversee the architecture of data pipelines, data lakes, data warehouses, other risk and finance applications, and analytics systems, ensuring scalability, performance, and security
Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and grow a team of data engineers, architects, and platform specialists. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement
Data Integration: Ensure seamless integration of various data sources (internal and external) into the data platform, using modern ETL/ELT frameworks
Cloud Infrastructure Management: Leverage cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) to manage and scale the Risk and Finance Reporting products
Data Governance & Security: Implement data governance policies, ensuring data quality, privacy, security, and compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR, DORA)
What Makes You a Great Fit:
Minimum of 7+ years of experience in data engineering, data platform management, or similar roles
Proven experience leading data platform architecture and implementation in cloud-based environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Strong expertise in data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Kafka)
Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB)
Strong commercial experience with Python and Django
Background in architectural and systems design
Solid understanding of data governance, security best practices, and compliance standards
Demonstrated ability to lead and build high-performing teams in a collaborative and fast-paced environment
Fluent English is required in spoken and written communication due to working on the Pan-Baltic level

Gross salary. 4500 - 6500 EUR/month, which is to be determined depending on your level of experience and competencies
