Senior IFRS expert will be joining Luminor IFRS Competence team, which acts as a trusted advisor to Group Finance Division for accounting and IFRS compliance related matters, works closely with other divisions helping to improve the control environment and ensures smooth external audit processes.
What You Will Do:
- Interact with stakeholders at all levels of the group as an expert and consult and coach product owners and other stakeholders on international financial reporting standards (IFRS) and international accounting standards (IAS) requirements and high-level accounting schemes
- Contribute to the interim and annual financial statements preparation process ensuring compliance with the reporting requirements as well as enhancing the disclosures
- Monitor regulatory requirements related to accounting and IFRS with the aim to determine the potential impact on financial statements
- Coordinate implementation of relevant changes into daily accounting and regulatory reporting processes due to revised regulatory and IFRS requirements
- Prepare accounting schemas for banking products based on the IFRS requirements and specifics of banking chart of accounts
- Strengthen financial statements information control environment, propose solutions and follow up that the appropriate actions are taken by the stakeholders
- Develop internal regulations and documentation for accounting and public financial reporting processes
- Contribute and coordinate different accounting and financial process improvement related projects
- Collaborate with external auditors performing a statutory audit of the Bank
What We Expect:
- BSc degree in economics, banking, finance, accounting or business administration
- “Can-do” approach and “eye for detail”
- Expertise and experience applying IFRS and IAS standards
- Proficiency in preparing annual statutory reports
- Advanced MS Excel skills
- Expertise in documentation of accounting regulations and guidelines
- Experience in optimizing the control environment
- Ability to adapt and respond to changing work situations
- Ability to collaborate efficiently with others, creating a positive team split
- English language working proficiency (oral and written) due to working on the Pan-Baltic level
- Would be considered as an advantage:
- Banking background
- Experience with FINREP or relevant regulatory reporting
- Relevant qualifications or studying towards such as ACCA or CFA
